Everything is a choice

Think through your day, how many choices did you have to make? These choices might not be major ones, but they do all add up.


Should I get up early, or press snooze?


Should I have the chocolate bar or get some fruit?


Should I say hi to someone in the elevator or mind my own business and just watch a video on my phone?


Should I complete the full 12k run in my schedule or maybe just cut 2k off, it’s the same thing right?


Every day is essentially a series of decisions that have to be made. Each decision will either get you closer to your goals, or push you further away.


An interesting task is actually to reflect on a day and go through how many decision you had to make, did you make more good ones than bad ones? If the answer is yes then great, you’ve won the day!! But could it have been even better? If the answer is no, follow up with being more mindful of each decision as you make them the following day, write them down as the day goes along and ideally immediately after you make them.


Try to be aware of the score board throughout the day and overall try and have a positive score by the end of the day.
